Mercian Accounting logo design and website

Newton Design.co worked with Mercian Accounting in 2022 to design a logo, stationery and single-page website for this new business. 

Located in the heart of the Derbyshire community, Mercian’s clients range from individual taxpayers, sole traders, SME’s to large companies across many sectors.

The word Mercian refers to the people of the former kingdom of Mercia in central England.

We were keen to make use of the flag of the kingdom of Mercia, which is blue with a yellow cross. We used the angles of the cross and the triangles that are formed to make the unique M of the logo design.  The M wraps around the triangle to symbolise safety and trust and the triangle represents growth and prosperity.
